To complete an online application, you will need to do the following:
- Verify your equipment qualifies. These details can be found on the equipment or services webpage.
- Your 15-digit Minnesota Energy Resources account number where equipment was installed or services were performed.
- An electronic copy of your receipt or invoice that includes the installation address, equipment model and proof of purchase.
No. if you are not the account holder, you must submit a paper application form. Applications can be downloaded directly from the equipment or service webpage.
Do you have rebates available for new homes?
Yes. Please make sure you select “New homes” when applying for rebates online.
What is a Tier 1 - Basic programmable thermostat?
Programmable thermostats help to regulate your home's temperature during different times of the day based on your schedule. By programming your thermostat, you can save energy and money on your heating and cooling bills by adjustung temperatures during times you are not home. Standard programmable setback thermostats are not eligible for new constrution.What is a Tier 2 - Wi-Fi enabled thermostat?
Wi-Fi enabled thermostats connect to your internet, allowing you to remotely check or change the temperature of your home. Wi-Fi thermostats can save you energy and money on your heating and cooling bills since you can control the temperature of your home even when unexpected schedule changes occur.What is a Tier 3 - Advanced thermostat?
An advanced thermostat learns your schedule and preferred temperature settings and automatically programs a schedule based on the information it gathers based on your behaviors. Examples of advanced thermostats are all NEST and Ecobee thermostats.Appliances:

Your new water heater must be fueled by natural gas. Water heaters must be ENERGY STAR® certified with a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) greater than 0.64.I just purchased an indirect water heater. Does it qualify?

Can I tune up my own heating system?
